Mac game publisher Aspyr Media today announced the release of American McGee's Alice for the Macintosh, its latest game conversion. The game ships built for Mac OS X, as well.
Developed by Rogue Entertainment Inc., American McGee's Alice was originally released for the PC by Electronic Arts. Its Macintosh port was managed by well-known Mac game conversion studio Westlake Interactive.

Note: The disc I received with the modem mentions something about Mac OS 10 so I'm assuming its MacOS10 capable. However, it's all in Italian so I'm just guessing here. I've attempted downloading software off of the Alice website but the only mac download available is for OS 9.
American McGee's Alice is a third-person 3D action game inspired by Lewis Carroll's popular fantasy works featuring Alice, the girl who explores the mysterious and surreal Wonderland. This is no children's story or game, however — American McGee takes a very different twist on the Alice story. C r e a t u r e mac os. This is an older Alice who returns to Wonderland to find a barely recognizable place filled with chaos and danger. It's up to Alice to make her way through Wonderland as she takes on the minions of the sinister Queen of Hearts, who has poisoned Wonderland with evil.
The game utilizes Id Software's Quake 3 Arena engine technology for its core underpinnings. Players explore the bizarre and mysterious world as they solve puzzles and explore mazes. Levels are inspired by literary references like the Pool of Tears, the Caterpillar's Garden and the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, and Alice squares off against Card Guards, Fire Imps, Jabberspawn and other foes. Nine Inch Nails' Chris Vrenna composed and arranged the game's soundtrack.
